major emphasizes hands‐on experience, collaborative problem solving, and societal implications in the design, production, and implementation of mechanical and thermal fluid systems. Our research includes biomedical engineering, robotic surgery, commercialization of medical devices, advanced materials characterization, marine systems, power/energy, and engineering policy. We actively engage with local industries and these industry professionals are valued members of the affiliate faculty.
