The Nursing (RN-BSN) Program is focused on evidence-based practice and nursing inquiry; cultural and social issues in health care; legal and ethical issues in clinical practice; and relational leadership in nursing. This is a work-compatible, hybrid-modality BSN completion program designed for nurses in all fields. The curriculum is based on the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) Essentials of Baccalaureate Education for Professional Nursing Practice and the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). One hundred practice hours are embedded in the curriculum.

International Students: Please note that while there are three Nursing cohort locations (Everett, Shoreline, and Bothell), only the Fall Bothell cohort is eligible for students needing the UW to support their I-20 process. UNIVERSITY MINIMUM ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS

Transfer applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for admissions:

Minimum cumulative transfer GPA of 2.0.
Supporting documents (transcripts, test scores, personal statement, etc. – varies by major program).
Completion of CADR or core subject requirements if applicant has fewer than 40 transferrable credits (see below) at the time of application.
Proof of English language proficiency (if required).

MAJOR ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

This is a capacity-constrained major, meaning that students who meet the general admission requirements and minimum GPA in each prerequisite course are eligible for review; however, admission is limited by the number of seats available in the program and is not guaranteed.

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 2.00 GPA in each prerequisite GPA course.
Prerequisites in-progress require proof of registration.
Nursing resume.
One recommendation. Provide your recommender's name and email address as part of your application.
An Associates Degree of Nursing (or equivalent) that will be completed before the student begins coursework at UW Bothell.

APPLICANT PROFILE

Applicants who are generally admitted to Nursing (RN to BSN) will have the following:

Prerequisites completed or in-progress at time of application.
Cumulative college GPA of 3.00.
BSN prerequisite GPA of 3.20.

Even if your GPA is not in this range, we still encourage you to apply. We value determination, creativity, and growth as a nurse just as much as academic performance.
