Mathematics (MATH) is an established and growing field with students pursuing careers in engineering, actuarial science, database and computer systems administration, network and data communication analysis, statistical analysis, secondary mathematics teaching, and other fields. Students with a major in mathematics often pursue graduate studies in mathematics, physics, and engineering.

UNIVERSITY MINIMUM ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS

Transfer applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for admissions:

Minimum cumulative transfer GPA of 2.0.
Supporting documents (transcripts, test scores, personal statement, etc. – varies by major program).
Completion of CADR or core subject requirements if applicant has fewer than 40 transferrable credits (see below) at the time of application.
Proof of English language proficiency (if required).

MAJOR ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

This is an open major, meaning that students who meet the general admission requirements and demonstrate consistent academic progress, such as a positive grade trend or good academic standing, are eligible for direct entry into the program.
