The Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (EE) Program provides the highest quality of educational experience inherent in a degree from the University of Washington. The BSEE program is accredited by ABET, and it specifically focusses on meeting the critical needs of technology-dependent employers in the Puget Sound region.

The program provides a rigorous educational experience in which students master the fundamentals and applications of electricity, electronics, and electromagnetism. The curriculum emphasizes design, teamwork, ethics, entrepreneurship, and civic responsibility. During their academic career at the University of Washington Bothell students grow to understand the impact of engineering solutions in global, economic, environmental and societal contexts.

UNIVERSITY MINIMUM ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS

Transfer applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for admissions:

Minimum cumulative transfer GPA of 2.0.
Supporting documents (transcripts, test scores, personal statement, etc. – varies by major program).
Completion of CADR or core subject requirements if applicant has fewer than 40 transferrable credits (see below) at the time of application.
Proof of English language proficiency (if required).

MAJOR ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

This a major with minimum requirements i.e., they have a set of prerequisite courses with a minimum GPA. All current students who meet the minimum requirements are admitted.

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

Students are required to have a minimum of 2.70 cumulative GPA and the major has the following minimum requirements which must be completed prior to admission:

A minimum grade of 2.7 in STMATH 124 - Calculus l
A minimum grade of 2.7 in STMATH 125 - Calculus ll
A minimum grade of 2.7 in B PHYS 121 - Mechanics
A minimum grade of 2.0 in college-level English Composition course

COMPETITIVE APPLICANTS

Applicants who are generally competitive in Electrical Engineering will have the following:

Prerequisite GPA of 3.40
Cumulative college GPA of 3.40
A positive grade trend with few to no repeats
