Hometown: Federal Way, WA Cultural Affinity Group: Asian Major: Pre-Major (Biology) Fun Facts: I taught my cat how to do tricks over quarantine Why did you choose UW Bothell: I love the campus size and how comfortable I feel talking to my professors Bio: I plan to go into biology so that I can peruse pharmacy school in the future to become a doctor of pharmacy. Some things I enjoy doing for fun are playing the piano or lyre that I have at home, painting, writing, and playing cozy video games. I also enjoy spending time with my cat and cuddling with him whenever I’m cold because he is like a space heater in bed. |

Hometown: Detroit, Michigan Cultural Affinity Group: Asian Languages other than English: Punjabi Major: Business Administration: Accounting Minor: Mathematics Fun Facts: I have seen my two favorite athletes play in person: Lebron James and Cristiano Ronaldo. Why did you choose UW Bothell: Easier to network with peers and professors due to the small class sizes. I went to Bothell High School so UW Bothell was also very close to home. It was hard to turn down an education provided by the University of Washington. Bio: Post graduation I would eventually want to pursue either testing to receive my CPA accreditation or obtaining a master's degree. I hope to find an accounting career with a professional sports team, working closely with their accounting team. |

Hometown: Milan, Italy Cultural Affinity Group: Italian Languages other than English: Italian (fluently), Spanish (advanced level) Major: Business Administration (first year admit), Global Studies Campus Clubs & Organizations: Women in Business Fun Facts: I moved 11 years ago from Italy! Why did you choose UW Bothell? I chose to attend UWB because it gave me a chance to learn how to be more independent in smaller steps than usual; usually, people move straight into the dorms at 18, but I had the chance to live at home and commute to school, and next year will be living on campus as a Residential Advisor. As a Business student, I was also really grateful that I was admitted into my major as a freshman since that is giving me a chance to double major in Global Studies as well. When I had the chance to tour the school last year, I was able to see the diversity and inclusiveness that I hadn't noticed at other colleges. Bio: Outside of school, I love to bake and try new recipes. My favorite recipe I've made so far was an Italian cheesecake with fresh peaches. I usually try to make Italian recipes since I'm from Italy, and my mom is an Italian Personal Chef, so I want to keep the family traditions going. I actually got into baking a few years ago after watching all of the Great British Baking Show seasons, and have now started to branch out and try my own things. I often use baking to relax and as a way to show my appreciation for others. |

Hometown: Kota, India Cultural Affinity Group: Asian Languages other than English: Hindi, Rajasthani Major: Computer Science Fun Facts: I enjoy cooking (Indian cuisine mostly), playing badminton, and writing. Why did you choose to attend UW Bothell? The smaller campus size offers a unique advantage in fostering stronger connections with professors and building a tight-knit community among a diverse group of students. Bio: I have a strong passion for staying updated on the latest tech innovations, and I am particularly fascinated by the entire process of transforming technology ideas into user experiences. This is why I am currently pursuing my degree in computer science. In my free time, I love hosting dinner gatherings for my friends, preparing delicious home-cooked meals. Additionally, I have a deep interest in screenplay writing, whether it be for movies, shows, theater dramas, or YouTube scripts. Ultimately, my goal is to establish a service that supports and equips artists with the essential tools they need to succeed. |

Hometown: Mumbai, India Cultural Affinity Group: Asian Languages other than English: Marathi, Hindi Major: Computer Science Fun Facts: I try to talk to people in their native language, especially Japanese Bio: I dance and I also loved playing COD. One time I convinced my parents that playing video games is good for your brain by showing a TEDx Talk. Only to realize after a few months, that the talk was about playing games on the PC and not on the phone. I did not watch the entire video and it cost me my vision. Don't worry, my eyes are fine, but if you show three fingers by being two feet apart from me, I'll read it as a letter XD. Just Kidding. I chose ML, DL, and AI-related courses because the math section excites me. Building machine learning pipelines is also fun! |

It's also been an easier transition from high school because the class sizes are more what I'm used to. Bio: I'm a first-year here at UW Bothell! Some things I like to do for fun in my spare time are play video games on my Switch, listen to music, and cook new foods. One of my goals, after I graduate from UWB, is to be the first person in my family to get a Ph.D. |
